EMMA Marshall from Woodrow and Greenlands Community Orchard joined the Redditch Standard podcast team this week to talk about orchards, housing and inspiring people to take care of their neighbourhood.
Emma had always dreamed of having an orchard and and with the help of local councillors, the Redditch Borough and plenty of willing hands and businesses, one has been created and planted on the Woodrow / Greenlands border.
In this week’s podcast she talks about how ‘taking ownership’ of local areas is being encouraged by the borough council and how, with the price of property fast disappearing out of the reach of ordinary folk, we can all this own our local environment and take care of it.
