A MAN has been arrested after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Redditch on Saturday evening.
The 42-year-old was held on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and perverting the course of justice in connection with the incident on a pedestrian crossing on Salters Lane.
The driver then left the scene.
The man was arrested on Tuesday and has since been released on bail.
The pedestrian, a 27-year-old woman, is still in hospital after suffering serious leg and head injuries.
West Mercia Police have thanked everyone who shared the appeal put out on Sunday.
