EMERGENCY services were called to Redditch town centre on Saturday night where a man was found dead.
Police attended the incident in Silver Street where the man in his 50s was found at the foot of Car Park 2 near the Kingfisher Shopping Centre at around 8.30pm and they gave him first aid prior to ambulances arriving.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and medical trauma doctor then arrived to find the man in cardiac arrest.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance said: “The teams arrived to find a man on the ground in cardiac arrest. The paramedics and doctors worked on him for some time but were sadly unable to save him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Police enquiries are continuing but the death is not believed to be suspicious.
The ring road near the shopping centre in Redditch was closed for a short time to allow for emergency services to get to the scene.
