Man from Ghana thanks 'kind angels of Redditch' for locating his long lost friend

A MAN from Ghana has thanked the ‘kind people of Redditch’ for locating his long lost friend after years of no contact.

Former Redditch resident Kwabena Owusu-Agyekum had a special request when he called the Standard’s office yesterday.

Mr Owusu-Agyekum, who refers to himself as Kobby, was trying to track down a resident called Clinton who he met between 2003 and 2005.

He was very close to Clinton when they worked at Lakeside Industrial Estate together, fitting Mini Cooper dashboards.

Clinton was described by Kobby as ‘an amazing guy’ who made his time in Redditch ‘very special’.

The only problem was he couldn’t remember Clinton’s surname and his searches on social media came to nothing.

In fact the only information he could tell us was that Clinton had a wife called Samantha and a son called Josiah who was ‘around three-years-old’ at the time.

But after publishing Kobby’s appeal several people contacted the Standard, including Josiah who is now a teenager.

Josiah passed on Clinton’s contact details and Kobby was able to call him that same day.

Kobby said: “Thank you Redditch – I really appreciate it.

“Bless you all, bless you all. You are all my angels.”
