A MAN has been jailed for a number of offences, including a spree of shoplifting in Redditch.
Steven Hayes, 36, of no fixed address, was sent to prison for four years and six months.
He was sentenced at Worcester Crown Court on Monday 24 October.
Hayes targeted several shops in May and June and stole almost £1,000 worth of goods, including alcohol.
Investigations led to his arrest on 25 June and he was subsequently charged with theft, burglary, fraud, breaching a restraining order and assault.
He pleaded guilty to all charges at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on 27 June.
Detective Sergeant Kirsty Hill said: “Steven Hayes was a serial offender across various shops around Redditch.
“We hope this sentence sends a strong message that we will investigate and prosecute anyone responsible for theft and shoplifting.”
