A MAN who’s car had broken down was hit over the head and robbed as he walked back to the vehicle.
The incident happened on the bridleway opposite Oversley Green serve station on the A435/A46 last Friday, September 1 at 7.15pm.
The victim’s car had broken down on the Alcester to Stratford road and he had walked to the garage.
As he returned he was hit over the head from behind and fell to the ground.
He was hit several more times before the thug stole his black ‘Hype’ back pack, which contained among other things a white iPhone and a green and brown striped wallet.
The victim was later treated in hospital for his injuries.
Elsewhere in Alcester a Ford Fiesta was stolen from Waitrose car park without the keys between 9pm on Friday and 7pm on Saturday, September 1-2.
A few days earlier, overnight on August 27, thieves broke into a house in Smiths Road and stole the keys for a silver Mercedes A220 which was parked outside before stealing the vehicle itself.
