Man left seriously injured following horror car crash in Studley

A MAN was badly hurt and a woman was left trapped in her car after a head-on crash in Studley.

Fire crews, an air ambulance and police were called to Park Avenue in Studley following the collision at around 2.15pm on Wednesday, June 17.

The man, who suffered serious injuries, was able to free himself from his mangled car.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further treatment.




The woman was trapped inside her car for nearly an hour until she was cut free by the fire service.

She was also taken to hospital but her injuries were not serious.


A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “The road was closed off by Warwickshire Police for around three hours and reopened at 5.30pm.

Warwickshire fire crews spokesperson added: “Please drive carefully and be mindful when driving on wet slippy roads in these adverse weather conditions.”
