FIREFIGHTERS rescued a man from a four-storey building which had set on fire in Redditch on Friday (July 21).
Two fire crews from Redditch and one from Bromsgrove were called to the building, which is under development on Prospect Hill, at 8.30pm.
A man in his 20’s was located and rescued from a fourth floor flat after crews used a 13.5 metre ladder to reach him.
The man was led to safety by firefighters via a stairwell and was left in the care of the ambulance service. He suffered smoke inhalation and minor burns.
The fire had been extinguished prior to the crews’ arrival. A thorough search of the building found no hot-spots or people in danger.
The incident was left with the police and security staff at 10.12pm.
