A REDDITCH man in his 30s has been issued with a Community Protection Notice (CPN) following complaints from residents at The Woodrow Centre flats.

Police have acted on concerns about the man’s anti-social behaviour which included him using the flats’ communal areas and stairwells as a place to use drugs and as a toilet.

He was leaving behind needles and other drug-related mess, which was captured on CCTV cameras in the area. The area was also recently repaired, thanks to officers from the Greenlands and Lodge Park Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT).

The man was issued with a CPN with conditions preventing him from using the Woodrow Centre flats or communal areas. He was also told not to leave any drug related items in any public area of Woodrow.

PC James Hall, of Greenlands and Lodge Park SNT, said: “We were asked to investigate these incidents following community concerns around this man’s behaviour in the Woodrow Centre flats, and with this CPN, have acted upon those concerns.

“I hope this reassures members of the public we will always take their complaints seriously and act upon them where necessary.

“Since the reports have been made, we have been regularly patrolling the area, and since the issuing of the notice there have been no further reports made.”
