A SENIOR site manager for David Wilson Homes Mercia has won a top national award from the National House-Building Council (NHBC).
Steve McNally, aged 62, who works at the Abbey Gate development behind the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch has been recognised by the NHBC in their annual Pride in the Job Quality Awards.
Born and bred in the West Midlands, Steve started as an apprentice bricklayer for a local builder in Quarry Bank.
His first venture into site management began with Bryants and has progressed ever since.
This is his second Pride in the Job award in six years of working for David Wilson Homes.
His first win coincided with his 25th year in site management.
He said, “Winning for a second year in a row for the same job is a testament to the team here at Abbey Gate who have striven to maintain the quality and motivation of everyone on-site.”
Known as the ‘Oscars of the housebuilding industry’, the Pride in the Job Quality Awards recognise the best run building sites in the country and are the highest accolade a site manager can achieve.
