A FAMILY’S fundraising climb up Snowdon with their pooch Max the Beagle is making a real difference to the life of an army veteran suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Jennifer and Craig Stone from Studley climbed the highest peak in Wales with Max and their daughters Tilly and Natasha to help Jen on the road to recovery after she was involved in a serious car crash.

To make it doubly worthwhile they decided to also raise money for the charity Veterans with Dogs.

Now, thanks to the generosity of donors, they have raised enough to send a veteran on a residential course to help with their PTSD and to check whether a trained companion would help them.

In the process Max has become something of an unlikely mini-celebrity.

To further boost the cause he’ll be at the Studley Common Fun Dog Show at the nature reserve off St Judes Avenue this Sunday, July 15 complete with Veterans with Dogs bandana.

“We’re not sure which class he’ll be entering but if anyone wants to meet him or donate to the charity, please come along from 11am.” said Jen.
