REES CAFE in Redditch town centre is hosting its official launch day on August 20.

The cafe aims to provide support for anyone over 18 who has been involved in foster care or social services.

Guests are expected to arrive at 12.30pm for drinks and cakes.

At 1pm the Mayor of Redditch, Councillor Juliet Brunner will give a speech about the cafe and how it benefits the community.

This will be followed by a talk from the founder of the Rees Foundation.

Project leader and owner of Rees Cafe, Polly Jones, said: “We are a safe space for anyone in the community to relax.

“We are a non-profit organisation and really want to encourage as many people as possible to come and visit us.”

Polly says the afternoon will be topped off with ‘fantastic prizes’ to be won in the raffle.

Tickets are available for collection at the cafe which can be found on Church Road in the town centre.
