BOROUGH Mayor Councillor Juliet Brunner, has been elected chairman of the local Conservative Association in Redditch.
She replaces John Eaton who served the maximum time in the office of three years.
Coun Brunner said: “It’s a great honour to follow John Eaton who has led the organisation splendidly for three years.
“We have to build on our success by investing in local branches, increasing our members and raising more money so we can be ready for a General Election should one be called at short notice – and so we can fight the upcoming local elections in May.”
Coun Mike Rouse taking the role of deputy chairman political and campaigning after being largely credited as the key to the success of the 2018 campaign where he won his Church Hill seat by just one vote.
