THE Mayor of Alcester, Councillor Andrew Foster, was on hand recently to officially open a new delicatessen in the popular market town.
Pantry Ann’s in the High Street by Barclays Bank is already doing a roaring trade with its fresh and cured meats, fish and tasty selection of pies.
Manager Sarah Hodges said there was a real emphasis on home baking with scotch eggs proving a particular favourite with local people.
“They’re going down an absolute storm,” she said.
