A YELLOW weather warning for heavy rain has been issued for Worcestershire in the next 48 hours.
According to the Met Office, there is a 90 per cent chance of heavy rain starting at midnight and continuing non-stop until 9am.
People are being warned about spray and flooding on roads which, along with the effect on bus and train services, could make journey times longer.
The conditions are likely to impact on tomorrow’s morning rush hour.
The Met Office also warns that homes and businesses could flood.
There is a chance more rain could fall from 11am and then an even bigger chance of heavy rain from 2pm to 6pm.
The Met Office has also issued advice on how to stay safe in heavy rain and on how to deal with flooding.
Outlook for the weekend
Saturday will turn brighter but the temperatures will drop dramatically, struggling to reach double figures.
We can expect much of the same on Sunday where the temperatures could go as low as 4 °C.
