Police plea to identify man in connection with Redditch girl Cindy

POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a man in connection with the disappearance of Redditch teenager Cindy Worthington.

Cindy, aged 15 has now been found safe and after a visit to hospital is now with police.

Detective Sergeant Tim Macrae said: “We have had an exceptional response from the public and the media to our appeal.

“Our appeals were shared more than 9,000 on social media and covered extensively in media around the country. I’d like to thank everyone who has helped us.




“We put out a CCTV image yesterday of a man we would like to speak to in connection with our investigation. We’re still keen to identify this man and would urge anyone with information to contact us.”

The CCTV footage was taken at around 1am on Monday 14 August next the Edward Elgar statue in High Street, Worcester.


Anyone who recognises the man should call 101 and quote incident 0800s of 14 August 2017.
