A SPECIALIST Psychiatric Nurse with over two decades of frontline experience, is expanding her community outreach by hosting monthly Coffee and Chat sessions at The Boathouse Café at Arrow Valley Visitor Centre.
Nicola Noél, from Brainworks Therapy shares valuable insights on mental health.
This new in person programme aims to create a supportive environment where local people can come together to discuss mental health openly, break down stigma, and find solidarity in knowing that they aren’t alone, and that help is available.
Nicola said: “Greater representation within the field of therapy is needed to help people come forward.
“I recognise the unique pressures faced by many in our community, and my goal is to provide them with the tools needed to prioritise mental wellbeing, enhance resilience, and navigate life’s challenges more effectively.
“My vision is that the monthly sessions will become a safe haven for individuals to come together, share their stories, and gain insights from my extensive expertise in mental health.
“These gatherings are designed to build a sense of community, provide emotional support, and promote mental health awareness and I’m excited to see how they evolve over the coming months.”

The monthly Coffee and Chat sessions take place every first Tuesday of the month from 11am to 12pm and are open to all, providing a welcoming space for anyone looking to discuss mental health or seek support.
