STUDLEY Sports Centre at Abbeyfields has undergone an extensive redevelopment over lockdown for the launching of The Training Room Sporting Complex – the official training ground of Solihull Moors FC this Monday, August 24.
Not only will the facility bear The Training Room name, but the players will also showcase the brand on their training kit for the forthcoming campaign.
The venue will launch on the same day that the Moors’ first team returns for pre-season training in anticipation of a strong 20/21 National League campaign, with promotion to the EFL the ultimate ambition.
As well as hosting the Moors for training Studley Sports Centre, just off the A435 at Washford, will remain the home ground of both Studley FC and Studley Juniors FC together with other local teams who use the venue for weekly training sessions.
The upgraded facilities include two brand new, full-size grass pitches, a 3G pitch, a new players lounge, a state-of-the-art gym, and players’ changing rooms.
Terry’s Bar (named in memory of much-loved former licensee Terry Moore) has also received a makeover and will be open to the public on weekday evenings and at weekends from Monday.
As well as a sports centre the venue also boasts a conference and function room.
A new initiative will give children the chance to have football parties with visits from Solihull Moors mascots and players.
Venue owner Darryl Eales said: “We are excited to relaunch the upgraded Studley Sports Centre with a brand-new look and improved facilities.
“It is the perfect training venue for Solihull Moors and the team have settled in well ahead of the season.
There are some fantastic sponsorship opportunities which will benefit all the teams who play at Studley.
