More Redditch garages demolished to make way for parking

Redditch Editorial 28th Oct, 2016   0

A GARAGE demolition scheme creating more parking spaces in Redditch is continuing in the Woodrow area.
A further 14 garages will be demolished this month and Woodrow residents could benefit from improved facilities and layout.
Fladbury Close is the latest location to be developed under Redditch Borough Council’s public realm improvements scheme and work will begin the week commencing November 14, lasting for six to eight weeks.

Council Leader Bill Hartnett said: “We are pleased that the scheme is continuing and hope that the improvements will help alleviate ongoing parking issues as well as improving the general environmental quality and community safety of the area.”

The demolition will make way for more car parking and residents with mobility issues in this area can  apply for a disabled parking space near their homes by contacting the council before the end of November.
Fladbury Close is the eleventh location to be visited by the borough council’s continuing programme of turning old garages into new parking spaces and for more information contact Matthew Mead on 01527 64252 3345 or email [email protected]
