MORE than 250 people attended a charity football match celebrating the life of teenager Ollie Sellers at Redditch United’s Trico Stadium.
Ollie’s dad Paul said: “We held the event on Sunday, August 4, which is the same day as Ollie’s birthday.
“He would have been 22-years-old so the memorial game, now in its second year, was a very emotional event for all of us.”
More than £2,600 was raised for road safety charity Brake and also Alzheimer’s Research through various activities such as a raffle, tombola and face painting.
Paul added: “I want to thank Redditch United, all the helpers on the day and the individuals and companies who donated fantastic prizes for the raffle.
“Also my co-organiser Steve Emblem, and of course everyone who turned up.”
