MOTORISTS passing through the town and surrounding area are urged to take extra care when driving this evening (Tuesday), after yellow weather warnings were issued for the region.
The MET Office have forecast wet and windy weather across the Midlands, with winds picking up speed through the late afternoon and peaking during the evening between 6pm and 10pm.
The County Council Highway’s teams are on standby and will be ready to respond to any problems caused by the winds which are expected to reach speeds of around 50 to 60 mph.
