MP for Redditch discusses policing priorities with Chief Constable and Commissioner

Redditch Editorial 23rd Aug, 2022   0

MP FOR Redditch, Rachel Maclean raised her constituents’ concerns with the local Chief Constable and Police and Crime Commissioner on a visit to Redditch.

Last Tuesday (August 16th), Mrs Maclean was joined by Pippa Mills, Chief Constable for West Mercia Police, and Police and Crime Commissioner, John Campion, on visits to Headless Cross and Woodrow Centre.

In Headless Cross Mrs Maclean raised issues such as speeding and anti-social driving in Oakenshaw.

They then visited Woodrow Centre where the Chief Constable and the Police and Crime Commissioner got to see the results of the £430,000 Safer Streets Funding that has been invested in the Centre to provide security and safety for local residents.

Mrs Maclean said: “I’m grateful our Chief Constable and Police and Crime Commissioner took the time to visit Redditch once again to discuss my constituents’ concerns.

“I will continue to work closely with our police on a number of issues, be it speeding or tackling anti-social driving in Oakenshaw.

“It was also great to see how local residents are benefitting from the Safer Streets Funding that has been invested in Woodrow Centre. We’re seeing tangible results from the multi-agency approach in Woodrow Centre.”
