HEART of Worcestershire College has received more than £1million in government cash to upgrade its facilities.
The college is one of 180 further education institutions that has been allocated a share of a £200million investment to repair buildings, renovate campuses and upgrade facilities.
The money, £1,055.424 in total, will be going to HoW College’s Redditch campus, to the delight of local MP Rachel Maclean.
She said: “I am delighted that Heart of Worcestershire College will be receiving £1,055,424.
“Further education plays a vital role in unlocking talent and potential of thousands of young people, and those returning to education once again, in Redditch and across the country.
“This funding will ensure our colleges have the investment and resources it needs to deliver a world class further education system.
“This will open up opportunity and deliver a workforce that will help our town and country get back on its feet.”
HoW College is spread across four campuses, in Bromsgrove, Worcester, Malvern and Worcester offering everything from professional and vocational qualifications to languages and developing hobbies and pastimes.
