BIG-hearted Studley residents have launched a £1,000 fund raising drive to buy two planters in memory of much loved lollipop lady Chris Langford who died recently.
Initiatives include a ‘Yellow Day’ at Studley C of E Academy in New Road on November 25 where pupils will be encouraged to wear something yellow and bring in a small donation for the cause, and they’ll be joined in this by children from St Mary’s Catholic School and Studley Community Infants School.
The aim is to site the planters in The Fordraught close to where Mrs Langford used to be on duty and where passing children will be able to see the blooms.
