THIEVES trying to steal a John Deer Loader from a farm at Weethley on the Evesham Road gave up after dragging it half a mile through thick mud.

The incident happened over the night of Tuesday, January 23 and Police believe the gang may have been disturbed by a member of the public – or were simply too tired to continue.

Elsewhere a TV, record player and records were stolen from a home on Alcester Road, Studley.

The theft was discovered on Friday, January 26, the same day that a scooter, push chair and bicycle were stolen from a communal area of flats in Albert Close, Studley.
