THE MUM of a student at Alcester Academy decided to organise a mini-prom for her daughter and her friends after their official school event was cancelled twice because of Covid-19.
Verity Mee put on the bash for Neve and 19 of her classmates last Saturday at their home in Salford Priors.
Sarah Jones, mum of Chloe, helped set up the party for the girls who received their GCSE results yesterday.
She said: “Their results were amazing – they all did so well – so they deserved the mini-prom after the last 18 months.
“We made it as special as we could and they were able to party the night away.
“The prom dresses were expensive so it was great they got to wear them and celebrate with their friends.”
