ST PETER’S Church in Inkberrow will once again be the venue for an orchestral concert at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 17.
Inkberrow Sinfonia will perform Handel’s Amaryllis Suite in the arrangement by Sir Thomas Beecham, followed by Schumann’s Cello Concerto in which the soloist will be rising star Leo Popplewell, a BBC New Generation Artist.
After the interval the orchestra will perform Schubert’s Third Symphony.
This will be the 19th annual concert by this 40-strong select group of musicians, comprising both professional and semi-professional players.
These concerts have now become an established annual event in Inkberrow, drawing an audience from far and wide.
This year’s funds will be raised for both the church fabric fund and KHARPP which provides support at the Polish border for refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine.
The orchestra is conducted by its regular maestro, Richard Laing.
Tickets cost £12.50 from Jenny Powis on 01386 792909 or from Inkberrow shop or Post Office, and Blue in Broad Street, Pershore.
