Music man Sam emerges from lockdown to release latest single

MUSIC man Sam Ostler from Beoley is set to release his latest single.

Like everyone in the arts he’s faced cancelled gigs and tours as the country locked down to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

However he says he’s been using the unexpected free time to work on new material including the new single.

“I’ve been down in London collaborating with guy who has worked with David Bowie, and that was really good,” said Sam, whose piano-driven songs have won him a loyal and growing following.

“I’ve also had quite a lot of play on BBC Introducing and on local radio stations, so it’s been quite productive.

“A lot of my friends have said they’ve just stopped but I’ve wanted to keep the fire burning.”

That determination has even seen him launch his own version of ‘name that tune’ game on Facebook.

“I play a song for ten or 15 seconds and get people to name the tune which has been great fun – and some of the answers have been really bizarre!”

As for the single, it’s coming out sometime in August and Sam is hoping it will win him even more fans.
