MORE than 1,500 Studley residents thronged the streets of the village to pay respects to those who have died, or were wounded, in conflicts past and present on Remembrance Sunday.
Over 25 wreaths were laid at the War Memorial in Alcester Road, with the names of the fallen read out for the first time by the Head Boy and Head Girl of Studley High School.
Local church leaders took the service, which was relayed for all to enjoy from the adjacent Methodist Church.
The organisation of the parade and associated events were this year lead by the Parish Council, in co-operation with the Royal British Legion.
Organisers Phil Hunt and Steve Noke said: “It was wonderful to see the local community taking part in the annual parade once again.
“They went on to enjoy a post parade event at Studley Sports and Social Club, with afternoon tea and entertainment, as a thank you for all who worked so hard to organise the event, which went off without a hitch.
“Thanks too to local traffic management company Headway, based in Portway, for a very efficient road closure operation.”
