THE search is on for the best feline in the West Midlands following the success of Redditch cat Theo at last year’s National Cat Awards.
Theo scooped the ‘Better Together’ award which celebrates the special bond between a cat and its owner.
Theo was lauded after saving the life of his owner Charlotte Dixon by pawing and keeping her awake after suffering a serious blood clot.
Paramedics later told her if she had drifted off to sleep she may have died.
Award organiser, Kate Bunting, said: “Every year the entries we receive go to show why cats make such great pets.
“Whether it’s helping their owners through times of sadness or brave felines who survive against the odds, we’ve got it all.”
