ARSON victims are set to receive a share of more than £1,800 after generous neighbours rallied round.
The money was raised from a community fun day held at the Abbeydale Club on Saturday (September 20) with the aim of supporting those targeted by an arsonist in Johnson Close, including those whose bungalows were burned down in August.
Rachel Rogers, one of the organisers, said: “The day was amazing, there was a really good turnout and we raised much more than we expected.
“There was a good flow of people coming and going, having a go on the games and the tombola went really well too.
“We’d like to say a big thank you to all of the companies who donated food or prizes and to everyone who came along or helped in any way.”
