A NEW Toastmasters club has been set up in Alvechurch to help people improve their confidence in a working environment.
The charity helps people build a career and become confident public-speakers and strong leaders.
The new base, at the Red Lion Pub in Red Lion Street, is sponsored by Deb Hawkins and her husband Tony.
Mrs Hawkins said: “My role was was to set up the club and attract new members.
“For more than 25 years I have gained a great deal by becoming a Toastmaster.
“It’s such a warm and friendly environment and I encourage anyone who might be interested to join.”
The not-for-profit organisation is ideal for people who are changing jobs, seeking promotion or have been at home for a long time and need to rebuild the confidence to get back into work.
