A NEW campaign designed to encourage people to shop locally has been launched by Alcester Town Council.
Totally Locally Alcester seeks to shine a light on retailers and showcase the true value of residents spending their money locally.
The town council launched an interactive website as part of the campaign to help people locate products and services.
Information on when the shops are open and whether they are an online business can also be found.
Mayor of Alcester, Coun Gill Forman, said: “The council’s investment in Totally Locally isn’t just about keeping local traders in business, but also supporting local employment for local people and creating a feeling of community and common purpose.
“Schemes like this focus attention on the amazing retailers and businesses on our doorstep.”
Totally Locally is a national movement, started ten years ago by marketing expert Chris Sands.
It has been adopted by 60 towns in the country so far.
