REDDITCH’S expanded garden waste service is up and running across the borough.
The service costs £60 per year for each brown bin, plus a one-time setup fee per bin of £20 which includes the new bin.
The expansion of the service to more households comes after council members voted last year to introduce a full, new garden waste service to the borough.
Redditch Borough Council’s portfolio holder for environmental services, Coun Brandon Clayton, said: “A big welcome to all our new customers who have been able to join our new expanded service.
“In this first round of collections alone, the crew picked up 35 metric tonnes of garden waste for recycling.
“And it’s not even the growing season yet.”
Residents can still apply for fortnightly brown bin garden waste collections November next year, while stocks last.
