THE brand-new Iceland store has opened in The Range in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre this morning, Friday, July 31.

In addition to the essential items across DIY, hardware, petcare and cleaning products, the store now sells the complete Iceland foods offering, including fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy, meat and store cupboard staples.

The new Iceland brings the total across The Range estate to 61

The strategic alliance between the two brands formed in August 2018 continues to grow, with plans to launch many more Iceland branches in partnership with The Range.

The existing departments have been moved around to make it easier for customers to shop at the Redditch store.

In line with current Government guidelines, additional measures are in-place to make it safe for staff and customers.

These include social distancing markers to help people stay a safe distance apart, sanitising stations at the entrance and contactless card

payment where possible.

Owner and founder of The Range, Chris Dawson said: “I think our customers will be excited to see that we’ve heavily expanded our product offering with the opening of Iceland in our Redditch store.

“We are pleased that the additions to the store now help to provide customers with a new choice of shop for all their Everyday Essentials”.

Ken Williams, Kingfisher Shopping Centre manager, said: “We are delighted that the doors of the brand-new Iceland store, in the Range, are now open in Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

“We are really pleased to be able to have a big brand retailer come onboard during these challenging times, which is a reflection of the ongoing appeal of both Kingfisher and the town centre.

“With the addition of both fresh and frozen food as part of Iceland’s complete food offering, it bolsters the centre’s current offering, which we’re sure will be a welcomed convenience to our visitors.

“We would like to thank our visitors for their ongoing support.”

The store will be open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sundays.
