A TRAINING centre aimed at tackling mental health concerns and improving personal skills, confidence and employability county-wide has opened in Redditch.
Based at Winyates Centre, Inspire Community Training & Development will be offering a range of vocational courses on behalf of the Protective Behaviours Consortium Community Interest Company (CIC).
‘Protective Behaviours’ is billed as a life changing approach to improving personal safety and promoting wellbeing.
It’s a process with a 40 year heritage which is seen as a preventative and protective approach to tackling mental health issues and personal safety.
The new centre in Redditch will be run by Karen Martin and will promote Protective Behaviours across Worcestershire in line with Department for Education recognition of it as an effective approach in improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in schools.
“We are very excited at Inspire to add the delivery of Protective Behaviours to our range of courses and support services,” said Karen.
