New repair cafe coming to Studley

Tristan Harris 3rd Apr, 2025   0

THE NEW Studley Repair Cafe is set to open next Saturday, April 12.

The event runs from 10am to 2pm at the Studley Parish Centre, Old Vicarage Gardens, with last repairs accepted at 1pm.

The repair cafes, which give people the chance to have items fixed for free (donations are welcome), will then run on the second Saturday of the month with the same opening times.

Among items which can be repaired are household appliances, such as toasters, kettles, coffee machines, electronic devices, including lamps, vacuum cleaners, fans, TVs, laptops, games consoles and media players, along with clocks and watches.

There will also be gardening tool repairs to items, such as lawnmowers and strimmers, tool sharpening, minor clothing repairs, including patches, zips and buttons and small wooden furniture items can also be fixed.

Free tea, coffee and cake is available for visitors.

And the venture is looking for volunteers to help with repairs and running the cafe.

Volunteers and prospective visitors can contact the cafe beforehand with enquiries and to discuss repairs by emailing: [email protected] or by visiting: studley.itsbroken.help – alternatively, visit: facebook.com/studleyrepaircafe to contact the team.
