THERE’S a new venue for Studley in Bloom’s coffee mornings – and there’s one coming along soon.
It’s next Thursday, February 10, at Studley village hall from 10.30am to 1pm.
Although the place is different there will be the same delicious selection of cakes and beverages on sale to boost the coffers of the award winning group.
The move was sparked when their usual venue, the Co-op, feared it might fall foul of the new ‘Natasha’s Law’ which requires all food outlets to provide full ingredient lists with clear allergen labelling on Pre Packed for direct sale foods, said Jan Platt, chair of the Bloomers.
However, she added, they are absolutely delighted with their new home in the village hall.
“We have an excellent spot in the foyer and everyone is invited to come along, enjoy some tea or coffee, and try a delicious slice of cake,” she said.
All funds raised will go to planting and enhancing the village with flowers in the year ahead.
