New Years Day tractor run a success in Astwood Bank

MORE than 50 tractors hit the streets of Redditch and Bromsgrove on New Year’s Day for the annual tractor run.

Starting from hosts S E Davis & Son Ltd in Astwood Bank, the tractors journeyed through the streets and villages to Broad Acres Fishery in Bromsgrove.

Supporters came out in full force to cheer on and watch the tractors drive through Astwood Bank, Hunt End, Enfield Road, Love Lyne, Callow Hill, Webheath, Bentley and Hanbury.

The event, which is organised by North Worcestershire Vintage Tractor and Engine Club, takes place every year on New Year’s Day and helps raise money for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

In a post on social media after the event, North Worcestershire Vintage Tractor and Engine Club said: “Thank you to everyone that came out and gave us your Support in this inclement Weather .

“Over 50 tractors cruised around the back roads in the Worcestershire villages to the applause of well watchers cheers and donations for the West Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.”
