Numb fingers and the agony as they tingle - plea to join Raynaud's event

A CHARITY is asking local people to cosy up with a coffee as part of Raynaud’s Awareness Month.

Raynaud’s is a common condition which affects one in six people in the UK.

It’s a condition where fingers change colour in the cold or go numb, start tingling or are painful, and Raynaud’s can develop into the more serious condition of Scleroderma.

February is Raynaud’s Awareness Month, during which Scleroderma and Raynaud’s UK (SRUK), is asking people to take their quick and simple online test www.sruk.co.uk/testme to give those affected by the condition the chance to better understand, and manage, their symptoms.

SRUK is the only charity dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by Raynaud’s and Scleroderma.

Every year it asks supporters to organise a Cosy Up with a Coffee event to raise funds.

It’s a chance to spend a cold February day with a warm drink and cake, chatting with friends, colleagues, neighbours or family, get to #KnowRaynauds, and raise funds to support the charity.

To sign up or have any questions about hosting an event, email [email protected] or call 020 3893 5993. For more on Raynaud’s and Scleroderma visit www.sruk.co.uk
