ADVENTURES on the high seas and in the home of the Norse gods beckon in this hilarious production of Olaf the Viking.
The popular children’s tale has been has been turned into a wonderful show by the talented crew at Aunty Jen Productions.
Featuring songs, lots of laughs -and some rather fine musicianship – it’s perfect summer entertainment for young and old alike.
The six strong cast of sisters Nicolette and Annaliese Morgan, Neville Cann, Willim Witt, Liam Atton and of course Jen Rigby are joined in all the chaos by star turns from Squeeee Oink as the Pig and Gaptooth and Cracktooth- as a pair of goats.
Olaf is desperate to find his father, who has sailed off on an adventure, leaving Olaf’s nasty uncle Kveld Ulf in charge.
Meanwhile in Asgard, crafty slave Loki has stolen Thor hammer, and boy does he want it back!
What follows is a hilarious caper featuring high flying ravens, giants, a Viking longship and much more.
This community theatre company – forged during the Covid lockdown – has already won an enviable reputation for the quality of its work.
Their take on Oh! What a Lovely War went on a nationwide tour while closer to home in Studley they’ve been holding theatre workshops working with children with special educational needs.
Olaf the Viking is next on stage when it drops anchor at the Greig Hall in Alcester on Saturday, August 17 with curtain up at the family friendly time of 2.30pm.
