Open evening to showcase A-level and BTEC courses at St Benedict's sixth-form

ST BENEDICT’S sixth-form in Alcester will be showcasing its range of of courses at its forthcoming open evenings.

From September 2020, its successful sixth-form will be offering a selection of A-levels and an extended range of BTEC courses.

The experienced sixth-form team at St Benedict’s will be delivering the school’s new post-16 curriculum in the school’s state-of-the-art sixth-form building which includes its own canteen, common room, lecture theatre room and private study area.




Mrs Munford, St Benedict’s head of sixth-form said: “We are excited at the opportunities that the new A-levels and BTECs will offer.

“The new curriculum will be broader, with a greater personal choice, and cater for all learners.


“The focus will not just be on a new academic curriculum, but will also form an inclusive offer intended to equip our pupils with the necessary life skills that employers seek. It will also prepare them for life in a fast-changing society.

“Our extended curriculum will also cover career advice, health and well-being, money, finance, community service and the development of personal resilience.

“All of this will be in the context of a successful and established faith-based school.”

The sixth-form will be opening the applications to study A-level and BTEC for September 2020.

Prospective pupils from all schools are welcome to attend the open evening at St Benedict’s from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, February 27.

Applications can be made online via the school website from 24 February.

· February 27 – Sixth Form Open Evening.

· March 30 – Deadline for applications
