RESIDENTS are being reminded to ensure they choose the right NHS service if they become injured or unwell over Christmas and new year.
Some GP practices will have limited opening times throughout the festive season but there are other options, such as local pharmacies with fully-trained medical staff.
Minor ailments, such as coughs and colds, tummy troubles and more can be dealt with at the pharmacy.
Most of the pharmacies are open as usual on Christmas Eve.
On Christmas Day the County Pharmacy, Church Road, Redditch, is open from 10am to 1pm.
On Boxing Day, Boots in the Kingfisher Centre is open from 7am to 5.30pm.
The Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) at Bromsgrove’s Princess of Wales Hospital is also open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and from midday to 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
