ORGANISERS are celebrating after another successful Studley Festival.

Held at Studley Sports & Social Club, the free to visit day attracted 37 stalls, displays and music and was officially opened by the chairman of Warwickshire County Council and local resident Councillor Clive Rickhards.

He said: “In the short time I’ve been chairman of the county I’ve been to lots of places and met lots of interesting people, however it’s an enormous pleasure and honour to open this festival in Studley, especially as it brings the whole community together.”

Mike Redmond, the mastermind behind the event, said the festival had been busy throughout the day.

“All in all it was highly successful and although it was meant to finish at 5pm people were still here beyond that sitting on the grass and enjoying a drink,” he said.

Attractions included childrens entertainment, a demonstration by ambulance staff, a falconry display, Studley in Bloom, Cramar Cat Rescue and more, including a display by the local branch of the Royal Enfield Motorcycle Owners Club, Studley Royal British Legion and Studley Air Rifle Club.

Mike also paid tribute to district councillor Justin Kerridge who joined in the fun and endured two soakings courtesy of Studley Scouts.

Studley Sports & Social Club is open for the public to join and plays host to a number of clubs and societies as well as having extensive facilities for hire.
