REDDITCH organisations are being urged to access £27 million worth of funding to develop skills for local people.
Organisations and providers across Redditch are being advised to take advantage of regional funds totalling £26.8 million before the deadline for applications closes on October 5.
The European Social Fund (ESF) programme, which focuses on improving employment opportunities for the local people has launched funding packages in five key areas.
Funding is available to integrate more young people into work, with a strong focus on encouraging those who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) or individuals who are at risk of falling into this category. It is also focused on upskilling and re-skilling the area’s existing workforce.
The GBSLEP is hosting a roadshow event for those interested in learning more and the sorts of projects which can be supported. The event is this Friday (September 8) in the Council Chamber at Birmingham City Council (Victoria Square) between 1.30pm until 4pm .
