TWO big-Hearted Redditch women are organising an Over-40s Singles Night in aid of Primrose Hospice and Redditch Nightstop.
Neither have done anything like this before in their lives but decided that not only could they help people like themselves have a good time, but also boost funds for two charities close to their hearts.
“All dating these days is online and I tried it once and it amazed me to discover at just how many single men and women there are out there on their own,” said co-organiser Caroline Beaman.
“I’m hoping we can get liked minded people together to have a great night out and raise some money for two good causes.”
It’s not the only fund raising Caroline has got planned either.
“You reach a certain age and you think, is this it? So as well as doing the singles night I’ve also decided to do the sponsored parachute jump in aid of Primrose Hospice in September,” said the mother of three.
The Over-40s Single Night is on Saturday, March 10 at Studley Road Social Club, opposite Woodfield Academy.
Caroline has paid for the hire of the premises out of her own money and many local businesses have donated raffle prizes.
Doors open at 7pm and there’s a bar until midnight with a top DJ providing the music.
Tickets are £5 with a fish and chipper supper available for an extra £3.80 available from the social club at 99a Studley Road, or search for singlescharitynight on Facebook.
