Owners of missing parrot issue urgent appeal for its recovery

Redditch Editorial 6th Jul, 2019   0

OWNERS of a missing parrot have issued an urgent appeal to help find the bird, last seen in Redditch.

Greenlands Avenue resident Robert Close, and his wife Yin, say they were distraught when Jack the parrot flew out of their bathroom window on Tuesday, June 25.

Robert said: “I let him out of his cage, as I usually do, when I got home because he was desperate to roam around.

“But this time something on the TV startled him, making him fly into the hall, up the stairs and through the bathroom door which is usually always shut.”

Jack, who was born in February, had only been in the house for six weeks before his eventual disappearance.

Robert has walked around several estates in search of Jack but has had no luck so far.

“He’s very tame but I’m not convinced he would go to anyone other than me,” said Robert, “But if he does land in your garden the best way to entice him into your home would be with fresh water or fruit.”

A reward will be given if Jack is returned to the couple.

If captured or spotted call Robert on 07853 948025 or 01527 515543.
