THE Diamond Bus panto competition has proved to be a huge success.
More than 500 people entered the competition with 100 tickets to see Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Palace Theatre up for grabs.
The lucky winners were pulled out of the hat by Councillor Bill Hartnett, the leader of Redditch Borough Council, with help from Diamond’s operations manager Chris Bridges.
She said: “We had a huge number of entries in just eight hours which is fantastic considering the time scale.
“A big thank you to Coun Hartnett for coming up with the idea and a huge thank you to Coun Joe Baker for getting it organised so quickly.”
Coun Hartnett said: “I was delighted to draw the tickets for the winners of this year’s panto at the Palace.
“I have seen it myself and they are in for a really good time as it’s a barrel of laughs!”
Coun Baker added: “It’s good to work with local businesses and to do something that brings some joy to the town.”
