PAPA John’s Pizza in Redditch will be introducing vegan cheese to its menu following a national petition which has gained more than 28,000 signatures.
After much talk about Greggs’ Vegan Sausage roll, which sold out in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, Papa John’s Pizza will be joining the dairy-free party.
A petition was launched last October by animal rights organisation Animal Aid and vegan website Vegan Food UK.
“We are thrilled to see that Papa John’s has reacted positively to our petition and that they are looking to introduce a vegan cheese alternative very soon,” said Animal Aid’s campaign manager, Tod Bradbury.
“By adding vegan cheese to their menu they will be showing they are up to date with the fast-growing vegan movement and hopefully they will appeal to a much wider audience.”
