Partnership seeks views on impact of cost of living in Redditch

Redditch Editorial 15th Feb, 2023   0

A SURVEY has been launched to find out what help and support Redditch residents need as the Cost-of-Living crisis continues.

Launched by the Cost-of-Living Partnership the short questionnaire asks residents about the impact currently being experienced by households and about the support they may or may not be getting.

The final outcome of the survey will help the council and other local organisations improve the help, advice and support available, in line with residents’ needs.

Redditch Borough Council chief executive, Kevin Dicks, who chairs the partnership, said: “The crisis is set to continue as now caps on utility bills, which are set to land on doormats, are due to end and rent increases are also inevitable.

“By continuing to work with partners we can bring together all the help and advice available for residents who can be signposted to get the correct support for them from a trustworthy source.

“This survey will provide us with useful data so we can ensure the work we are doing is having an effect and we can tailor it to meet our residents’ needs.”

Redditch Borough Council leader, Coun Matt Dormer, said: “The cost-of-living crisis is having a widespread impact but it is important we look out for our friends, family and neighbours, particularly those who are most vulnerable.

“Advice and assistance is available to everyone at varying levels, so if you are struggling, please get in touch sooner rather than later so we can get the support in place for you before any big difficulties arise.”
